Weezer and Jet made the show!
I was dissappointed by the "security" and procedures at Merriweather, despite my love for the venue.
After waiting a long time for a pavillion seat and ensuring I had enough time to queue up, I found myself leaving shortly after to use the restroom. Upon exiting, I had to line up again for re-entry.
My wait in line began during The Bravery's performance and extended all the way through Weezer's set. Eventually, I ended up on the lawn where I was bombarded with water, beer, and other objects being tossed around.
To make matters worse, a firecracker flew dangerously close to my face, adding to the chaos.
Despite these challenges, Jet put on a spectacular show and Weezer was amazing.
While I acknowledge the event was free, addressing the security and pavillion issues would greatly improve the overall experience.
